The Daily Dose x “You’re Too Scared To Be Great”

Woke up to news that Steve Jobs had passed yesterday. And I cried. I didn’t get it at all at first, I even went so far as to ask my mom why I was crying like MJ or Princess Di or Aaliyah had passed ?
Then it hit me. I was devastated because his death spoke to my mortality. It was a cold hard reminder that even our rockstars, our heroes, our idols our visionaries must greet death some day. No matter how high up the mountain we climb, we all must fall.
And these “rockstars” don’t get to choose when it happens either. Oh no, not at all.
Death becomes us all. AT ANY GIVEN TIME OR DAY . . . you could die. Thats what these kinda moments say to me, loud and clear.
Don’t be the fool sitting around saying “I’ll do it tomorrow” cos’ thats not what The Creator guarantees us when we get here. No.
We get to live, breathe and love right here and right now. If you didn’t get the message yesterday, then it sucks to be you.
Be. Amazing.
“Death is very likely the single best invention of life. It’s life’s change agent, it clears out the old to make way for the new” – Steve Jobs
Applaud greatness when you see it and don’t ever be ashamed to grieve it when it leaves us. Aspire to aim higher, let no man or woman on Earth set your limits.
While you still can.
R.I.P. vaMabasa . . . u shook up the world.
