MEET THE PRESS x So Southern Lifestyle Magazine –> “Who Is Tehn Diamond ?”
This cover I’m extremely proud of, So Southern Lifestyle Magazine is a local mag, started by two young driven Harare-based entrepreneurs, whom I had the pleasure of attending high school with. So I’m extremely honoured to be on their inaugural cover.
Its nice because a year from now, I can really look back to this specific time and date and ask myself whether I’ve progressed . . . with any luck their 1yr anniversary cover will answer that question for all of us.
Respect.
Live in Effect x “Weekend Come” @ 10.10.10.
I think for sure this was one of my favourite performances of the night, cos I don’t think anybody was expecting me to get my sing on and for a dance tune too. So yeah that low-key ticked me pink.
Peace & Love
The Audio’s Visuals x Kid Cudi’s “Mojo So Dope”
Kid Cudi – Mojo So Dope from Yaser Lad on Vimeo.
First up, I love how Cudder does these vids with glimpses into his clearly insane and hectice dope life.
Secondly however, someone on my twitter mentioned how Cudi’s antics seem kinda Cobainish i.e. he’s headed for the darkness. And after watchingthe vid I’m kinda worried bout him myself, but with that said I have faith.
MOTM2 is dope as fuck. The Dwanger has certainly done it again. Love it.
Enjoy.
Meet The Press x H-Metro: “The Voice Behind ‘Lobola’ soundtrack”
So I’m rolling round Harare in a cab with my homie “The Cab Guy” who’s name is Kenny, and I decide to buy me a copy of the always heeeelaaaarious H-Metro (its like Zim’s ENQUIRER . . . only less about aliens and more bout the hilarity of Zim life in a sense) . . . anyway I grab me a copy.
I read about the dude who lost his wife to a kombi driver *head shot* (worst part is dude’s photo is in here . . . NOT A GOOD LOOK SON !), skim through some other items that make up the hilarium that is this paper (i seriously love it). Then . . . BAM !!!! There it is on page 10 (naturally). . . my second newspaper article of the week, only this one was an interview, wasn’t really expecting it till like Friday. But its Wednesday and its here . . . DOPE !!!!
To have a read, just click here or try peep the article below.
P.S. if you’re in Zim or coming to Zim soon, make sure you head out to 7Arts Theatre and catch the homie Munya Chidzonga in “Lobola” . . . my boy Bubu reckons its like the African version of “Friday” . . . im kinda inclined to agree. Its a dope flick though for real, listen out for “Mary Go(es) and Grown Up Kid” in the first half or catch a listen below:
