I love how effortless the whole thing is for the lead singer, he’s just so chill with it.

The Daily Dose: You Must Hate Money

As most of you know by now, I’m back home in sunny Harare, tryna set-up base and get this music well and truly off the ground. And seeing as we live on earth that kinda mission takes money, unlucyky for me I’ve never been goog at getting money…I spent my youth mastering the lost art of getting the ladies. A noble pursuit by after a while that in itself can become quite costly. Which leads us back to money…

So in the interest of being able to sustain what I’ve built with good music, I realise the importance of getting good money flowing in too.

I won’t lie about a year or two ago I borderline hated money, or anybody with it. Which is weird cos’ I grew up without having to want for very much. My old man put in his man hours and achieved his success. After I went to university and watched as my home crumbled, mainly at the hands of lies and corruption, I started to cling heavily to the old adage that money is the root of all evil.

Its always pained me to see so few with so much, while the masses had so little. This is the case in any part of the world. But in recent times I’ve come to realise that I had it all wrong…the true root of evil isn’t money itself but those who hold money in highest esteem above else. That is the problem.

With this realisation, and awareness of the fact that whatever I intend to do for my music and however far I intend to take money is gonna be factor. Well, why not let it be my money ? Why not put myself to be in a position where I am the driving force behind my own creative endeavours. And its very much possible.

If you can own your ideas and exploit them at will, you are indeed a very rich man. So over the next weeks I’m gonna focused on getting SOTG.2.0 recorded and ready for you…whilst getting that paper right so that with this mixtape I can do things on a bigger scale. On the scale that it deserves.

This is a very exciting, and as always I’m super stoked to have you all along for the ride.
