The Hiatus RELOADED !!!
The post before explains why I’m taking a break from my online activities (except for twitter and skype), while this post explains the value of getting with my mailing list. Aside from the fact that for the next two months the people on this list will be privvy to my recording sessions via ustream and youtube, also they’ll be the first to hear any music I create, as well as the first to get a look at the merchandise I’m developing….basically you’re in the loop
But there’s more to it, so sign-up and read on below.

This next phase of my career, for me, is really the most important. See at first it was just about getting my music and my message out to as many people as I possibly could and tryna identify those who really connected and felt the same passion I do. So in that vein I made my first mixtape SOTG.1 . . .
Then it became about giving more of myself and sharing my journey with those who had caught on to my music and were behind me, I wanted to let people have a peak into the ups and downs of chasing a dream driven by lofty ambitions. And so this blog was born . . .
The third phase was all about connecting more deeply with my FAMbase, getting to know what you folk like. What makes you tick, what makes you laugh, what makes you mad, what makes you cry….and so the constant status updates on facebook and twitter action were geared towards this purpose. Not forgetting all the Skype convos and the fb chats….
And now we’re here, this stage to me is all about figuring out who the truly passionate believers of this dream are, its also the phase where i aim to give back. I dont expect a whole lot of people to sign-up but the few who do will be the core of my future plans.
So do me one favour, what I send you through the mailing list, share it as if it was your own. Be proud of it when it deserves ur pride and feel free to criticise when I fall below ur expectations, I dont expect you to like everything. I just want your energy behind me and your hearts with mine, focused on what could be an amazing year. But we’ve gotta do it together.
With that said, before I let the blog rest for a bit, THANK YOU !!!!!!
The Transitional Dose aka The Coming Together
I’m shutting up shop for the next month. *insert dramatic pause*
Yes, shed a tear. But not in vain, because I’ll be back.
When ?
In a month to be exact.
Why ?
Quite simply, because I’m not pleased with a number of things. And here’s the list:
1. I’m a musician, but haven’t put out new music since “I Can’t Do It” which I wrote and recorded like 8 months ago. (Feel free to download it below). That’s gotta change !!!
2. My blog, THIS blog, looks and works nothing like I constantly envision in my mind, and to be perfectly honest I’m sick of that fact.
3. The demands on me (self-imposed of course) to blog everyday, to write everyday whilst also performing 5 nights a week 4 times a night are starting to drive me absolutely insane. So its time to focus on only certain aspects for a period.
4. I promised you guys the sequel to SOTG by March, and so it shall be. Again feel free to download tracks individually from the player below or go ahead and get the whole thing here.
5. I’ve gotta start solidifying my plans for the rest of this year. I refuse to go unheard in 2010.
So really this is my time to do the hard-thinking, take swift and precise action and hopefully come back with an even better product to give you all.
Now if you haven’t done so already please go ahead and sign-up to my mailing list below. It won’t take you long and once I’m back online in full force this’ll be the only way to hear that NEWNESS b4 the rest of the folk do. I’ll also be running competitions, giving away merchandise and just making this experience worth it.
Peace,Love & the other stuff….

The Daily Dose: Jaded…I Guess.
“We say we waste time, but that is impossible. We waste ourselves.”
So last night was yet another Woo Night, naturally I shoulda been happy. But as per usual, for some reason, I was in a funk. Don’t even ask me why, because I don’t know.
I do know however that it actually was a great night, personally I know I was dead on stage. At least for the first two sets, my chest was hurting and my throat was sore…I just couldn’t keep up or really put out the energy that I know is required of me for a Woo Night.
I could barely even keep to the basics (Smile,Wave,Sing) – but it came right in the third set, thanks to a splash of Whiskey here and there. Sad, but ultimately true.
I really wanna quit both drinking and smoking. They’ve been trusty vices up and until now, but I just don’t need them in my life anymore. For the first time I felt like I needed more air in my lungs and I already know that I hate the lack of clarity that comes with drinking. I guess its just hard in the environment, but thats no excuse…its about discipline and focus.
I’ll figure this shit out, not to worry.
Peace,Love & lavender leaves on ya tongue (wtf!)…
Tehn.
P.S. Saw massive mammaries last night. Met a dude who works on The Amazing Race. Woke up in my jeans this morning. No more ALCOHOL !!!
The Book Report: The Magic of Thinking BIG (my thoughts)
At the start of the year I started “The Magic of Thinking BIG” and promised to have a report on it by the end of Jan. Well here it is….
Alright, to be a hundred percent honest I got to about Chapter 8 of this book. It was cool and interesting at first. Then it just got to be too much, too many chapters. Too many exercises to do. A lot of the stuff just struck me as common sense. In the one chapter it says to smile more and walk faster…I forget why it was asking this of me but I remember thinking “I smile heaps and walk pretty fast as it is….the magic of long legs”.
So in conclusion, its really only gonna be a good read if you haven’t read a hundred other self-helpish types books and if you have some sorta trouble wrapping your head around the notion that what you see in your mind you create in your world.
But with all that said, it was good for just reiterating certain beliefs I have and also solidifying a couple others. But I wouldn’t read it again or even read the whole thing. Just too wordy.
In fact in this whole past month when I was meant to be reading this book, I read “The Tipping Point” again and read “The 50th Law”. Maybe I’ll do my next book report on one of them….
And as we can tell my book reports suck. So I’m gonna try and get better at ‘em real soon. And give you better value…
KEEP READING !!!
SLMAO: J. COLE introduces Lil’ Cole
We rarely ever get to see our favourite MC’s just fucking around and chilling. Its either always looking super like gotta keep it real styles or just lots of shoutouts and stuff (okay i go too far….but you get my drift).
Anyway for me thats why this video of J.Cole is both hilarious and HILARIOUS !!

SLMAO HARD !!
Follow the Flow: “H-Town Boy v.3″ (w/video of course…)
Okay so its no secret my Shona ain’t the meanest or the cleanest but you’ll get my drift easily, can’t help that I’m sala, but it doesn’t affect the love for H-Town.
So here it is the third and final verse. Its my favourite, not necessarily lyrically, but cos I get to rap in my native lingo for a sec and cos it really sends out and solidifies the message I’m tryna get across with this song.
Like I said, this is bout to be the anthem. Now if u’re from H-Town and ur reading this well, show a little hometown love and make sure this gets to the right ears. I make this music for me, but I put it out there for all of you.
