This is one I’ve been tryna finish up for a little while, its finally back in the mix. I have some ideas for how I’m gonna finish it and stuff. But here’s the first verse of the joint….I’ll have “The Pleasure Principle” video up soon…just editing it still….and I suck at editing so its a mission.

Cold Denim.
I don’t know bout you but this is how I keep my favourite pair of jeans on point. I keep in the freezer so they’re extra fresh before that big night and its a damn Saturday…so you know what…act like you know !!
Yea thats them right next to the frozen vegetables….

FOLLOW THE FLOW – The Pleasure Principle (updated w/ video)
Now this is ’bout to be the second installment of a little segment I’m calling “Follow the Flow”
Most of you already checked out “Retrospective Perspective Pt. 1″ if not run along and peep the verse with the blog and the video…I even threw in some audio.
Retrospective Perspective Pt. 1
Now with this one I know exactly what I wanna use it for, I have a beat for it…this one is called “The Pleasure Principle” and its basically about delaying gratification i.e. b4 you gain you gotta go thru some pain. But I think its something a lotta people struggle with, like the fact that sometimes when you really want something..you gotta give up something else.
I couldnt tell ‘em to walk a mile in my shoes, when they barely know their own size //
Even when I do, they take ‘em off at the first sign //
Of foot fatigue, which to me is a blessing //
Cos when I feel the pain start, I consider the lesson //
Is it cos I started off running at the beginning /
When I know that I shoulda jogged, got loose with a warm-up //
Now I’m set in my stride and I’m starting a storm up //
Arriving at the point that I never believed //
Was ever for me //

FOLLOW THE FLOW – Retrospective Perspective Pt. 1 (updated w/ VIDEO)
Don’t know what this verse is gonna be for or if at all it’ll even become anything, but it was me just taking an attempt at seeing myself from outside myself but as myself….as if i was a stranger to myself I guess. I dunno…its one of many themes that I’ve been freestyling on lately and thought I’d just sit down and write a quick 16 Bars on it…
So yea lemme know what you think of it, whether it makes sense….you might not be able to catch my flow in some parts of it but I’ll do a little video of me spitting it in a day or two…for now just let it marinate.
I tend to use the sun’s light as my spotlight and so daily //
I treat a pavement as a stage and step bravely //
Not afraid of a little rain, its what makes me //
Stay fresh till the sun’s rays can come save me //
And then at night when the stars smile, I’m just one of ‘em //
So we talk and they beg Tehn to just come with them //
