Somebody asked me a good question today. He said why is it that on your website, the word “brown” is in green and not brown.

Fair enough.

But here it is, the brown is in green cos the green is in Brown….constantly !!

“A Bucket Sunday”

So its Monday…personally my least favourite day out…my favourite shit is Sunday…pretty much all the most fun of fun times of my life have been on Sunday…..even as far back as when I still felt for religion and did the church….them were good days….heck I even asked my babygirl if she’d play wife for life on a Sunday…so its real..

But the all time good shit had to be the Bucket Sundays….a little something special me and my fellow Scumbagz in Brissy came up with…

Without a doubt the only way to close out the week and the best way to handle any hangover….it involves the there top hangover cures I’ve met thus far….and just good good times all round….

1. Get re-drunk…
2. Get some dirty bird in ya…
3. Get lifted….

You’ll need three clean buckets. One smaller than the other two to house your greens….and one comes with the chicken (shout to Colonel Sanders) and the other is well just a bucket….till of course you make that goon punch in it and start sipping on your Goon-tini…

I’m not gonna go too far into to detail just yet cos umm I wrote a song that’ll handle that…..but here’s the hook….stay tuned….cos the beat is such a grove and a gas….

The thing about me is….

THE THING ABOUT ME IS….

See over the past few months, well since I’ve been back home really….I’ve come under a lot of fire. mainly centred around just why I shouldn’t be pursuing the path I am. nobody seems to see the reasons why i should, or at least they don’t get the reasons why I should…

I mean I totally get the risk factor.

I get thats its not, well normal as far as the things you should strive to do in your life..

Or is it ? See my thing is this, all my life I’ve done the things I was good at. Why ? Because its more fun and ultimately more rewarding when you ARE good at what you do. In most cases I’ve got to be the best or at least among the best.

I’m not the best at what i do now, not just yet, but i’m good at it…I love it and I’m good at it. Its hard to explain something like this when you’re not the best yet….or not showing the signs that society expects to see…..you know…the money…the security teh stability….the recognition….but that all takes time and persistence.

I think thats why I wrote “I Can’t Do It”>

Its tempting to throw in the towel and just go the easy and familiar route…but not if you truly believe….but not just believe you do something about it….and for me when I hear an objection or an excuse why i shouldn’t do that which I know I CAN do….I only wanna try harder.

And only because I know in my heart of hearts that there is a spot for me if I only I’m willing to stick it out.

I see my friends and just people I now who’ve finished their degrees…and the ones who are actually gettinga head are still the ones who enjoy what they do….who found their sweet spot and are working itf or all its worth….the ones who just did what they were meant to….they’re not happy….they’re unsure…I cant be that.

I need to make like Jay in “Feelin’ It” and live my life to the limit and love it a lot…

Unfortunately that feels almost like a crime.

Who knows ? Maybe I’m wrong and maybe I’ll fail but the thing is I dont plan on failing…and when I look at my life and look at myself I know that things closest to my heart and closest to my sweet spot have never failed me.

So what if the stakes are higher and the road is long and hard….I say bring that shit one.

You only live once. The real problem in the equation is the money I guess. Those who love you worry if you don’t have it and those who hate you worry when you do have it. Me ? I’m not worried because it’ll come..I dont crave it….I damn near loathe it….but its part and parcel of success in this crusty world….and I can accept that.

But it’ll never be the focus. I’m chasing happiness.

Groove & Gas !!

Last night’s show was off of the hinges…

So I arrived a few minutes late. SUE ME !! Nah but really it wasnt my fault Scotty I swear LOL.

Point is I got to Cybar….the show was organised to promote a crazy artist outta Botswana by the name of K.E.B. (Killing Every Bastard….i luv that shit)…so the place was packed with kats from Bots…which is awesome cos anybody who knows I’m honorary Tswana (Shout to Quince,uGenerale and Maxido).

The crown was receptive…the music was fresh….and all in all just a gas. I went up first to get things heated for my man KEB and he came through and did his damn thing…

We had a man freestyle send off at the end….for like 10mins or so and just ripped….I felt like Hip-Hop just bitch slapped the crowdn…

LOL.

Nah I loved it. Really gave me more fire you to keep doing this and even better if possible…fuck it better is always possible…Hopefully the people with the money can jack their shit up and start throwing at ya boy….cos Im so ready to do this HARD !!

Been a while…but I BEEN smiling. Know this.

So to be all the way honest…my week started out more than whack but then even whacker than that. You know when shit just doesn’t wanna come together for you….even though you feel like you pushing all the right buttons….yea that was how my week started..

But I did a funny thing….I didn’t fall back and give in…nah I for some reason just kept grindin it bit by bit….little did I know the wheels of fate were spinning in the background lining me up oh so proper….

Radio interview with UCT Radio got postponed….but I’m not gonna make it cos’ I gotta head back home early this week….plus I wanna stop through Jozi and check my man Juan Take out…..I’ll be doinga feature on him so…yes another Fresh outta Zim dude….we’re gonna try knock out a track or two.

Anyway…the week turned arond heavy on like Fri. met up with a mean mean producer….Taboo/Ginx and selescted some primo beats…..there’s this one joint called “Green Grass” he gave me that I think al my black and white hippies gonna love….I’m gonna be singing the whole way thru on that one…..plus a Huse beat that I rwote to last night….which I think is just bananas….its on some anthem type love tip…..kinda diff. for me….but effective….

Unfortunately I havent been able to record sweet fuck all this time around….but the next trip down its all lined up.

Got a show tonight with a rapper from Botswana called KEB…dude is extra nice from what I’ve heard thus far and even has stuff with HHP…and thats one of my dream collabos….so you know !!

Anyhow…im out for now.
